Rosalie Peri Obituary, Death – The loss of Sr. Rosalie Di Peri, FMA, is something that we are sharing with a great deal of sorrow here. On Holy Thursday evening, she passed away at the age of one hundred years old. After the passing of their mother, Sr. Rosalie and her younger sister, Sr. Domenica, were brought up in St. Michael’s Orphanage, which was located on the grounds of what is now known as Mary Help of Christians Academy.
They were raised there from a young age. Over the course of more than half a century, she worked in the field of education, both as a teacher and as a principal. She had a deep affection for the former students as well as the others who participated in the Adopt-A-Sister program. The St. Joseph Provincial Center, located at 655 Belmont Avenue in Haledon, New Jersey 07508, will be the location of the services.

There will be reverberations in the future from the relationships and love that Sr. Rosalie fostered. A scholarship will be established in honor of each of Sr. Rosalie and her sister, Sr. Domenica, in recognition of their more than fifty years of service as educators and principals in more than thirteen schools across our province. This will serve as a permanent monument to both of them. The Di Peri Scholarship will be awarded to students attending Mary Help of Christians Academy, the institution where they spent their childhood.
